Well, having been discussed many things about basics of testing and manual & automated testing strategies, we have come to a junction where we need to discuss about preparing a beautiful Testing resume that recruiters will get no reason for not selecting your resume.

Be honest while preparing your resume:

When I say, be honest, some people may argue with me that if you are too honest, then it might be too difficult to get selected by recruiters. I agree to some extent with this argument but what I meant was, you must know what you are keeping in your resume. For example, if you keep “knowledge of Agile Testing”, then you must know some thing about it when asked in the interview.

Know Each and Every term of your resume:

It is important to know and get familiarity with each and every word of your testing resume before attending the interview. Most job seekers will simply copy some text from friends resume or some other resume from internet, and they do not bother to know whats written there. If you are not familiar with those terms, just Google it and find ABCD of it. Remember “Something is better than Nothing”.

 Your resume is not a Text Book:

Remember one important thing that your resume is not a text book or testing tutorials. Just mention in brief what you have done in each project. No need to mention a big paragraph of whats the company about or too much of detailed description of what you did is not required. Just mention few bullet points.
